Brilliant - just got 1000 piece £14.99 jigsaw in local W.H.Smiths - they had a choice of about 8 pictures and both 1000 and 500 pieces available. Even the SA was surprised at this offer - thanks O2.
  • So I couldn't get into town yesterday after posting the offer on here- went in today only to get the message that it had finished!

    Typical!
  • i went in yesterday and was fob off yet agian saying they hadn't recived any. now i see your all saying they are xmas ones, this means they have always had them and theyre just getting rid of xmas stock.

I saw the jigsaws in my local but literally none of the pictures appealed to me out of about 20 so I didn't bother! You honestly didn't miss much those who couldn't get one : )

I think it really depends on which branch you go to and how clued up they are. The staff in my local one were too busy rearranging it on Monday morning to care!

Definitely depends on store and their staff. In the one I went to, there was a shelf of 1000 piece jigsaw puzzles in the clearance section, but all seemed to have quite classical pictures, as were the Xmas ones, which I didn't fancy. However, there were 2 kids jigsaw puzzles that I spotted in a different section of the store. One was a Peppa pig trio puzzle (which didn't go through) but the other one was a 35 piece WHSmith kids jigsaw puzzle, which went through fine with the code and will suit my 3 yr old just fine.
The staff didn't have a clue which puzzles were included in the offer - and even checked my phone for the rules as they had nothing to check against. They didn't get to put through one of the 1000 piece ones, as they reckoned that because it was Ravenberger brand , it wouldn't go through - although I explained to them that the code was probably meant for these ones that were on clearance to clear out the Xmas stock.

I managed to get a kids jigsaw...wasn't interested in any of the normal ones but took it home to my 2.5 year old who loved it! The T&C's stated WH Smiths brand only including kids jigsaws. Mine was a 35 piece floor puzzle they had around 4 varieties. So the peppa pig and ravensburger ones wouldn't have worked anyway. Was a good freebie but I do find the WH Smiths one hit and miss as to stock levels.
