It doesn't matter if you switch sims, the only time they check whether you are on O2 is when you initially downloaded the app, where they then text a code to the O2 number.
So if you are using the same phone, just switch the sim card and as long as you do not uninstall O2 priority moments you will still be able to use it.
Mostly true but not the whole story
One time when I had a non O2 SIM in my phone the O2 app started up with the verification screen where you have to enter your O2 number then enter the code you are sent in a text
Since then its settled down again i.e. not done this again even though Im still using a non O2 SIM
So basically you need a spare PAYG O2 SIM handy in case you encounter the above0 -

For me, the app only asked for it once, the first time you load the app after you download it.
Either way, I believe the O2 website still sends out free sim cards so whenever it decides to do that just grab another one!0 -

My OH on EE and he needs new verification number every month, so I always keep the spare phone handy0 -
My actual o2 payg... wont even load the app... everytime it just crashes and says it has unexpectedly stopped... have even updated it so dont know wats up..0
