Shows how desperate W H Smith must be to get people into their horrible, outdated, pointless stores in the hope that they'll buy something whilst they're in there.
Fat chance!0 -
The OP was being helpful, no need for unpleasant rant against WHS!0

Problem with Smiths is that they are so few and far between and stuck in remote places you would be lucky to take advantage of anything! (Save anyone working in a city centre)0

Bit harsh and needless.
WHS is another of the high street chains that are struggling in the current climate and culture and whilst id rather each town had its own independent stores selling the same stuff, the fact issuch businesses are even less financially viable.
the alternative to all this is shopping online which is a shame as it means the death of an element of community.
Maybe its the way things are going but I cant understand why you feel the need to be so spiteful about it.0 -

I thought the same about Smiths - they sell Books, CDs and DVDs which are twice the price of online retailers, plus newspapers and magazines which are a dying forward. So until this week I'd not been in for years and was amazed to find the place packed and the queues so long I was tempted not to bother with the freebie.
Not sure why people are shopping there, but clearly they still are, and Smiths will be around for a while yet.0 -
I'm new to this and have a WH Smith fairly close. But it isn't showing up on my priority moments app and doesn't come up when I search. Might this be because it is an outlet? I'm searching for 'Smith' and not getting anywhere.
Can someone wiser advise please? Thank you.0 -

It shows as WHSmith on mine. All one word. First three letters are capitals. My local WHSmith has been there about a year and doesn't show up on the app. The one that does show up is 5 miles away so it isn't in the right order of location if that makes sense. They do accept the code at my local one though.0
