When you narrow it down you could post with the choices to see if anyone has already got them
Also, a list of things you need the camera to do may help0 -
Most brand name pocket cameras take similar quality images and you pay the extra for in-camera features. Don't be fooled by the higher number of megapixels on offer with some of them either, you often pay more for that but more megapixels doesn't mean better quality images. See Ken's explanation here http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/mpmyth.htm . I have a 7mp Canon Digital Ixus 7.0 which takes the same quality images as my 10mp Canon Digital Ixus 870IS but the 870IS has much more features including IS (Image Stabilisation). Similarly, DSLR sensors produce similar quality of image throughout the range but the high end cameras have many more features0

If it were my £150 I would opt for this one at ebuyer only because I've used Canon compacts and know what they are like, others may be as good. http://www.ebuyer.com/256096-canon-ixus-220-hs-camera-silver-5098b007aa you may find it cheaper elsewhere, they are cheaper for lots of things but sometimes not cameras0

I'd check Jessops for deals, they always have great deals on. Warehouse Express are great too - I get a lot of stuff from there.0

As has been said above, buy the Ixus 220 HS for apx £145, then claim £20 cashback from Canon, can't go wrong really.

Cashback.

There is also the Ixus 115 HS for £126 and £20 caskback pretty similar but better to go for the 220HS above.

http://www.photographyblog.com/reviews/panasonic_lumix_dmc_tz18_review/ here is a review i have a TZ8 and quite like it but you are paying for the longer zoom and if you don't really need it you might get something better for less. With the long zoom it's very easy to zoom in to far and get blurred photos or be out of the range of the flash0 -
To tell the truth i have the Panasonic Lumix TZ7, the Lumix are good cameras, comes down to how much you want to spend, £125 for the Canon 220HS or the TZ18 for £150, the only advantage of the Panasonic is the zoom.0

Alternatively if you want a simple point and shoot with a good zoom there is always this, which gets good reviews
