Credit Card Cheques

I Often Receive A Bunch Of "cheques " From Either Mbna Or Goldfish Saying I Can Use Them As I Would Any Normal Cheque And Only Get Charged A "special " Rate Of Interest. The Latest Offer Is From Mbna At 3.9% Till Sept 2005. I Must Say I Am Tempted This Time. Has Anyone Used Them And Found Any Nasty Small Print Or Are They Safe.
Cheers

  • I've used them in the past for that purpose - no problem at all. Would just say though, READ THE SMALLPRINT as there's likely to be a cheque handling fee
  • I have had some of these as well. The smallprint charge is 2% min £2 max £35.
This looks like the same as a balance transfer rate that MBNA are doing.
