  • What I did with my children for their teachers and friends was use a large baking tray and line it with greaseproof paper and melt milk chocolate and stir in some rice crispies pour it into the tray and leave to set and then melt white chocolate and pour on the top, bash up a pack of mint candy canes and sprinkle on the top , leave it all to set and then broke it up into chunks and tied up in cellophane bags I got from Ebay, it really is moreish, or you could cut into bars or even sprinkle edible glitter on the top.

    hope that helps
If its not cheap and its not free I don't want it and I will wait till it is :p

Having just cleared out the kids' bedroom of all those little bits of bobbins lying around, this year I'm going to suggest my two give their friends sweets and hope they get the same in return. You could buy cellophane cones from ebay and fill them with seasonal/cheap sweets. Try up with a ribbon and it'd look lovely

Just 'stole' this idea for the kids in my class - thank you!!

What about your eldest making those personalised chocolate slabs or chocolate pizzas. They look gret and are cheap to make. There is a thread on here somewhere.

She'd need to buy some chocolate, toppings, either celophane or cheap pizza boxes from Ebay.

No reason why you couldn't do the same with the younger ones and have a crafty/cooking afternoon and get them to help you make them for their friends too?????
Oh these sound great, you don't happen to have a link for the chocolate pizza? Done a search but couldn't find it. TIA:)

I may sound a bit scroogelike here but if my kids want to buy for their friends then they save some pocket money, but mine are slightly older as they are 10 and 12. I then match what they have saved (which is never too much as they only get £2.50 a week). Or they can bake treats at home and give those as gifts.
