This weekend Nintendo Wii's are only going to be £89 in Asda stores!

I work on the Music and Video department, and only a limited number have been delivered to our store.

I'm not sure if this deal starts tonight at midnight, or on Saturday.

I'll check when I'm in this evening.
Just heard this offer advertised on the radio (Heart FM in London), so it must be a wide scale promo, with a fair bit of stock rather than just a clearance offer.
  • Went to our local in Newcastle on Saturday, guy on entertainment said promo wasn't on. Told him my brother had bought one in poole and he admitted they had some but weren't allowed to sell them until Monday. Checked with a manager and confirmed Monday morning, but said they had about 500.

Hubby went up at 8am, had to explain deal as staff knew nothing. Eventually manager updated system, scanned wii and it went through at £88.97.

So wii family edition with wii sports and wii party, one controller and one nunchuk.
Married the man of my dreams May 4th 2012

    Wins 2012: 4 X 20E vouchers, multipack of crisps, Vampire T-shirt

Aiming for a holiday or the lottery ;)

how bizarre, why would nintendo, spend money on redesigning and then making a different version of something they been selling for the past 4-5 years, when they have just announced they are releasing the wii 2
This is also advertised in The Sun today, on page 20.

Looking at the picture, it is the same original model just laying down on it's side and without the upright stand. So not a 'new release' prior to the Wii 2 next year.

Just bear in mind, it includes Wii Sports, and NOT Sports RESORT. So it will not have the Wii Motion Plus controller or add-on.

The Wii Party game is worth around £10 by itself (it was selling for around £35 bundled with a Wii Remote). The Motion Plus is worth around £15, and Sports Resort game about £15.

Take this into consideration when comparing with other deals that include Sports Resort.

Still - a good price in any event, as this was £180 or so about 2/3 years ago.

Me and the fella went and bought this last night in Southampton (had been trying to convince him to get a Wii rather than Xbox and this deal won it for me!) they had a stand with the offer so no problems there.

Also is DOES come with the motion controller.
