These seem to be a dying breed! There used to be one at every street corner, now where are they?
I want to send a bouquet to someone who has done me a favour but don't want to spend more than about £15 (M&S cheapest one is over £20)
Any recommendations?

Think you need to be realistic here. One of the reasons for there not being so many florists, is, as you indicate, supermarkets and garages are selling flowers. That is all, just selling, at prices with which florists cannot compete. A florist will provide a service. They will ask what type of flowers, what colour, and if you have a message to go with the bouquet. The bouquet is made for you. This takes time. Realistically, a florist could not provide and deliver a quality bouquet for £15, and still make a profit. Look in yellow pages and support your local florist - they are still there, but you need to be realistic regarding how much you are willing to spend.0

My wedding flowers were from Comel Florists on the Cregagh Road, her work is brilliant.

im in agreement with the person who says we need to support our local florists. No wander theyre going out of business!! I used to work in one and the wholesale price of individual flowers doubled in the year I worked there. £15 is a bit on the mean side go on splash out and youll be their best friend forever.ive got the craft bug, watch out its catching!!!;)0

I believe the large supermarkets charge between £20 -£50 to deliver a Bouquet of flowers. I don't know what you get for £20. Can't be great.[STRIKE]Less is more.[/STRIKE] No less is Less.0

Asda do the best quality, longest life flowers I have found. A lot better than either M&S. Sometimes greengrocers also do flowers at a reasonable price and can make up a bouquet for you.0

have you considered bunches.co.uk - they have free delivery and if you go through quidco there is cashback (sorry dont know how much of hand), and there is a 10% code floating about too
I say this as i have just used them to send some to my cousin who was ill- the flowers were about £19 (not their cheapest btw) and there was a free box of chocs with them- taking out the discounts, i think it cost me about £15.50 in total0
