    hi peeps, bed nice 'n comfy...a bit like a bouncy castle though....

    [£300 mattress, reduced to half price in sale, then paid for with 70 quids worth of tesco vouchers, value doubled in furniture sale...total cost to me, ermm...£9? Had to be worth a punt, eh?]

    Had our pie 'n mushy peas Xmas lunch today, down a local pub...[free.....pie, peas and pint...all courtesy of the Civil Service.....so only half a day's work out of us lot....half day again next Friday, then it's off until the 4th.....and not costing me [us] a bean in leave....marvels of accumulated TOIL....evidence for which can only be described as extremely dubious indeed...

    Upside is, I'm too old to go to Afghanistan!
    No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......

    What a bargain Alastair! And lucky you on your works xmas do and time off. My work let us have 1 extra hour tagged onto our lunch break for our xmas meal, nothing free either!

    Just sat here twiddling my thumbs waiting to pick up Mr AP from his works xmas do, which started at 1 o'clock this afternoon and is still going strong!

    Hope everyone in the Inn is doing ok?
