yesterday, I did what I think may be my 'good turn' for the day...I made a call-centre operator smile and giggle.

Which must be such a change for these folk, as I suspect most callers are bordering on the irate?

My land-line went down....exchange fault following big power-cut....but I had to report it via my supplier, not BEEty...which can be a pain as it is indirect.

The fact that we could hardly hear each other until she rang me back on my[not same supplier] mobile was difficult enough.....imagine having to get me to give my security answers when I couldn't tell what was being asked?

Anyway, she was pleasant and helpful , and I wasn't annoyed...so we had a nice chat while she went through the processes.


So...does making a call centre operator laugh count as a 'good thing?'

It definitely does Alastair, most of the callers are bad-tempered boogars in my experience. Call centre staff put up with a lot so a laugh and a smile makes their day. Good for you :A

And If is right, you always make us smile and giggle as well :A
