An idea for those on the Olympic Challenge/make something for nothing challenge

I don't know if this will help anyone but its worth posting.

On a visit to Lloyds bank today I got talking to one of the cashiers and they mentioned an optional new scheme that Lloyds are introducing.

The way it works is that if you pay for something with your Lloyds debit card, Lloyds will transfer a sum of money from your current account to a savings account that would have brought the amount up to the nearest £.

So, for example, if you buy something costing £4.65, 35p is transferred to the savings account, so you have effectively spent £5 out of your current account.

However for the months of February and March, Lloyds will match penny for penny any money moved into the savings account up to a maximum of £50 PER MONTH.....so effectively there's potential for getting £100 out of Lloyds.

I know for those of us watching every penny this may not be a good idea but you never know, it may be of use to someone!
