Company logo'd work uniforms

Hey folks....a colleague at work has sais he found something while browsing this site regarding a tax refund back dated upto 6 years if you can prove you work for a company that makes you wear logo'd uniforms and they don't clean them for you. Apparently you can reclaim tax for cleaning this enforced uniform yourself. Seems a strange 1 but I guess everything seems strange if you've never heard of it before. Ive had a look myself but can't find anything. Does anyone know anything on this? Thanks in advance folks.

There's a thread here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/27967 about it. Although I find it strange that you can claim money back just because it's a uniform, even though you'd have to wash your work gear if it wasn't a uniform0
