Hi All
I dont know if this is the right forum to post this is, so mods please move if I have made a mistake!!!
I am driving to Bicester Village tomorrow with 2 women on the hunt for bargains - and I suppose I am too!!!!
Just wondering if its worth the 50 mile drive? I have never been before, but I have heard it can be good but very expensive?
Are there any certain shops there that do real good bargains? I have read a thread on here about it, but its years old so I thought I would ask if anyone has been there more recently!!
I am hoping to get my xmas shopping done early!!! :j
Cheers!!

I would say most of it is the slightly more expensive brands up to the very expensive ones so it's not Primark prices, lol (sadly) but it's worth a look around certainly. I loved the Cath Kidston shop but have found the factory shop in St Neots now which is much less busy but probably doesn't have quite the range of Bicester, worth a scoot over there though if the women are fans of the range. Have a nice time0

I live just down the road from Bicester Village so go quite a bit. It's all traditionally more expensive shops but 50% high end designer (Jimmy Choo) and 50% high end high street (Monsoon). So even if you can't afford the designer things you will still be able to grab some good bargains from the more high street type shops. I've always got good bargains in Cath Kidston, Le Cruset and Boden but it's been a while since I've gone.Don't Throw Food Away Challenge January 2012 - £0.17 / £10
Grocery Challenge 16th Jan - 19th Feb 2012 - £254.72/£200 (Ooops very bad start)

Hi,
Bicester village is good but it is almost all expensive shops really! Not sure how much you are looking to spend, but there aren't many cheaper shops. The Ugg shop is good, lots of nice styles for around £100, there is a superdry shop there too which is quite good.
To give a bit of an idea of the pricier shops pricing..
Gucci keyrings - about £50
Gucci scarves - about £95 upwards depending on style
Gucci sunglasses - about £100
Bags vary alot depending on style but very unlikely to get anything in leather for less then £400 from the high end shops
Alexander McQueen silk scarves - about £100 upwards depending on style
If you don't have alot to spend I wouldn't really recommend it because it's not much fun if you don't have much money with you. I don't know if Cheshire Oaks would be too far for you but it is better for bargains really0 -
Boden shop dissapeared some time ago...
I agree most of the shops are designers, so very expensive normally and still expensive with 50% off! It really depends on what you are looking for, take a look at the website where you can see the list of shops and see if they are the ones you would normally buy stuff... Clarks is quite good!0 -
Cheers for the replies. I am mainly looking for a winter coat - have around £100 to spend on one. Also I have noticed there is a Pandora shop, would Pandora be cheaper at Bicester than on their website?
Does the Ugg store have many discounts????
I suppose its worth a day out!
Thanks!0 -
I went to Bicester last weekend and to be honest I do not make a habit of it because it is not really worth my time.
You can contact the stores if you're after something specific, I am on the McQueen Mulberry and Vivienne Westwood Bicester village mailing list, So I only go when an email catches my eye.
I personally don't think it's a good outlet village. Unless you're after specific brands and know they have it, I wouldn't bother.
Edit: I should point out you will not get an Alexander McQueen scarf for under £150 at Bicester, They never have the plain skull scarves in it always seems to be pashminas or special prints.
Pandora and Links Of London are worth a good look, I got a Links Friendship bracelet for £50, I am more than happy with that why they are usually at least £125.0 -
My Sister used to work at RL so we would go quite a bit. The RL kids shop usually have a clearance rail which are bargains I have got RL tshirts for under £10! Also Timberland can have so right bargains I usually get boots for my boys for under £20. Monsoon is another good one I have got a rainmac from there reduced from £110 to £20!0

What sort of dioscounts are there on the Mulberry bags?
I'm considering a trip but don't want to waste my effort as it's a fair old trip.0 -
Its worth a day out IMO, plenty of shops and places to eat and drink.
I got 2 H/H polo tops for £10 which was good and some nice Hugo combats for £20.0
