    Post 9 says speak to an IP, post 11 says you can do it yourself without cost.

    If you know of an IP who works for nothing then please share. If not, and hopfarm can do it for nothing, why refer to an IP in the first place?

    no post 11 says that there is no requirement to use an IP, which is correct there is no legal requirement to use an IP and a person can if they want to arrange the annulment without one(which youm will know to be true with your 15 years of experience). However if you were to read the whole post rather than just the first few words you would see that i said that it is not recomended as it it is very important that it is done correctly.

    You have not answered the question regarding the position you held and who you work for, since you assert that you must be correct based on this experience i am sure that many people would like to know the answer

    Post 9 says consult an IP, post 11 says you can do it yourself, and post 15 indicates seems to indicate that they should, possibly, prepare for a very long time of repayment even though you know nothing of the specifics of the case.

    Well, that's all bases covered then. Perhaps you would explain to the OP how all these options are possible at the same time?

    I don't see anything wrong in any of DI's posts on this thread. Is there any real point to this?

    Hi, I am pleased that you spoke to your family, that clearly has been very positive for you. Well done.
    We would like to know where this situation is going, which pressumably is;
    Annulment - debts and costs paid in full.
    Annulment - via an accepted IVA proposal.
    Bankruptcy - Bankruptcy still stands.

    Hope it's good news,

    Hi,have researched this as much as I can,even had a cab meeting but still need info.I have been made bankrupt by Lowell through my own stupidity! I have a meeting with the official receiver on 6th June and need to complete the financial information form I have been sent. I live with a partner and only my name is only on the mortgage but we split everything 50/50 do I list him and his income on the form or do I just list my income and 50% of our household income? He is solvent ?

    It depends on exactly what they want. I would list 100% of the mortgage and other expenses and then list the contribution made by your partner to you for his share of the mortgage and expenses. You don't have to list his full income only his contribution.

    Ok will try and keep this as brief as possible . In April last year Lowell made me bankrupt over a £6000 credit card debt , it came as a surprise as I had made an offer of monthly payments but heard nothing . I have equity in my property that I own with an ex partner . I attended a meeting with the OR and explained that I was keen to annul the order but due to a house fire then I had no documentation of any monies I owed , she advised me that I should check my credit file to get the information. She also mentioned a local company that could help me with the annulment . Armed with the info I contacted the company , and they advised me to pay the debts to the creditors , and then they would help with the annulment . I paid the creditors on my file ( in total approx £12,000 - this included the insolvency comp fee and the advisors fee ) . Last week I got a letter from the advisor saying my file was closed and assumed everything was sorted (I realise now this was naive of me ) . I then received a letter from a trustee strongly suggesting that the house would have to be sold to pay off my debts and that my debt was now a minimum of £31000 ! Which consisted of approx £12,000 of debt ( including £6000 Lowell's ) and some very high fees . I contacted the trustee and explained I had paid my Lowell's debt he redrafted and suggested if This was the case then I could annul the bankruptcy if I could raise £15000. I was trying to do this but he has now contacted me to say the Lowell debt is a recent one from a credit card I have not used for at least 6 years (statute barred ) but that I would also have to find the money for this .i am so fed up as I have no way of finding this money so am now considering putting the house on the market but by doing this know that my debt will rise to at least £31000. I need some legal advice but am reluctant to pay for anymore advice ( I paid the previous company £750 , the person who was advising me has now left ). Can anyone recommend anyone in the bucks area ? Or give me any advice ? Thank you for reading .
