Fridge/Freezer - Cheap as possible

Hi all,
As if this month hasn't been hard enough with both the shower and the boiler needing to be replaced because they simultaneously stopped working (With a small explosion!), now our freezer has given up the ghost.

As we are expecting aour first baby, we have decided that unless something REALLY good comes along, we want to replace both freezer and fridge (same age) in the form of a fridge/freezer so we don't have to be playing this game again with the fridge when baby arrives!

I have so far found a hotpoint on Tesco.com for £199-00

2 questions,

1. Whats the best online voucher that I can use with this?
2. Does anyone know of a cheaper one anywhere?

Many thanks for your help in advance
Morty

There is NOTHING that would make me buy a second hand one, you are absolutely right and knowing my luck it wouldn't even last the month! LOL!

My comment about something REALLY good coming along, referred to me finding separates for less. I wasn't very clear.

The month for fridges to die ours went on Saturday the new one came on Wednesday. Nowhere seems to stock them but they can let you take away any of the TV's that they sell.

We got outs from currys, Empire direct was the cheapest but currys said they will beat any empire prices, proberbyl due to empire having 2 stores in bolton within 4 minutes drive of currys. they knock the difference off and then knock 10% of the difference off again, we also got free delivery out of them without much trying.

Go in be cheeky and see what they offer you. the fridge master one above seems quite small, our old one was 60cm wide and 170cm tall and it was just about enough, out new on is the same width but 200cm tall its huge. The old one was a very early frost free from hotpoint and it has lasted 17 years so it seemed pretty good our new one is also hotpoint.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
eBay have some fantastic ones for cheap as chips - yes they're second hand, but some really good quality ones for a lot less that £100.

Thanks will give it a go..No Empire Direct here but might see if they will match the online price, that might help.

Tell them they have bricks and mortar stores and they should price match.
  • morty_007 curry's free delivery code is SALEFREEDEL and 5% off in NHS192 these worked on saturday night 27/01/07 as I too needed a fridge/freezer. go through quidco and get a further 3% back
