I've followed the guidance of lots of people on here when using vouchers in supermarkets, when i haven't bought the goods.
seeking out young looking checkout staff, trying to sneak through the self scan etc etc. Every time i feel guilty, and get caught out so today i tried a new technique - honesty.
I bought some bits (total £5) this morning paying full price and asked the checkout girl what the voucher policy was if i hadn't bought the goods, she said 50% of total shop, no duplicates, no 'stores own' and no internet printed.
I went back this afternoon armed with all my vouchers, 1st went to cs and asked the same question. Didn't buy anything i wouldn't have bought anyways, then went to the same checkout girl from the morning and used all my vouchers (18 totaling £27) keeping within their policy. I left feeling very very happy and not waiting to get 'caught'
I was about to give up, as the sneaking didn't work. I would encourage anyone else to ask before presenting, and enjoy the feeling of getting a freebie that's all above board.
xx

Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.
Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.

good idea to look for the same ca as the policy seems to differ from person to person some take all my vouchers and some none unless I buy the product!0 -

Ok..what's wrong with internet printed ones? If they are "in color" and have the bar code...what's the point of having them if you can't use them*If you like the advice I give...let me know by clicking the THANKS button*

I have phoned several local stores after a rather nasty supervisor who used to follow me around so I desperately sought clarification of the stores policy.
Each store stated that vouchers can only be used IF the items are purchased. So unless a miracle happens and a wave of coupon love comes to Wales I will still sneak around in my dark shades and mac.
Welshy xI am the only Voucher Queen in my village LOL

I agree with Welsy. Each SA (let alone each store) have a different policy. So it is bit hit and miss really.0 -
Sorry your heading is definatly wrong -
There is and never will be any hope for coupon users - we are all addicts Im afraid.
Long gone are the images of the little old lady clipping coupons from magazines - we are more organised -buy newspapers in bulk and know exactly with military precision how to use coupons to get the best deal. Its really an art if you look at it in a strange light. Maybe from a parallel universe even.
Sorry guys Im in a really strange mood today - must be the snowThanks to everyone who posts comps :T0 -
I'm afraid the use the same checkout person everytime will only work for a while. If they are taking 50% in coupons for a shop it won't be long before they get hauled in and told not to let this happen again.
May I suggest you use the 50% person every now and again in order to prolong an excellent voucher outlet, and maybe save the nice girl a telling off.
Just try a few different people there is no doubt (certainly at Mr T's) that it seems to be pot luck on the old 'how many you can use' front.0
