I don't think it's been properly reviewed. Click here for a link to a Which? 'Best Buy' DeLonghi for £79.0

This is the review that I have just submitted for this machine.
I doubt this review will see the light of day but here goes.
I always swore that I would never fall victim to the type of reviews seen on pages like these; you know the type "Amazed at the quality and flavour" "Best coffee maker ever" and these are only two comments from the first two sentences of the review in front of me as I write.
I have had my machine for only two days now and I can positively state that it makes AWFUL coffee. In order to get a taste in any way similar to my ancient Morphy Richards Esspresso I had to use three pods and it was still not as good.
The only reason I decided to give this machine a whirl is that it came free with two cases of coffee pods. Even at that price I was robbed, I had to pay postage and believe me it was not worth the £5.00
I will use it to make coffee for visitors with no appreciation of the flavour found in Illy and other decent Italian coffees and when I run out of pods, which at the current consumption rate will not take long, I will throw it in the bin.
This machine is like nearly all "tied" coffee machines, useless. Until a system can be found to allow owners to select their own coffee it will remain so.

Forgot to mention in the review that in the instructions they say 1. do not use the machine without a pod fitted. 2. the first cup of coffee will be cool (I think cold) as the machine has to warm up. That's the cost of one pod out of my pocket and into theirs.0
