Money Savers,

Lexmark C530dn - £75
Lexmark C532n/dn - £125
Lexmark C534n/dn/dtn - £150

n=networked, d=duplex, fast 21/22 pages per minute printing!

WARNING: You must buy from a 'Lexmark Authorised UK Reseller', check on lexmarks website (https://www.lexmark.co.uk) for the one nearest to you.

I just ordered a C532n of printerbase for £332.03, when I get the cashback will mean the colour laser printer will have cost me a decent £207.03 !!! Other colour lasers at this price simply aren't as good.

But beware replacement toner costs after printer purchase! They can be quite horrific, refills are the way to save money. Can anyone comment on using refills for laser toners?

Great deal though!:o

  • In reply to the above. A year ago I bought a new OKI colour laser printer (I've used OKI printers for years and they are reliable workhorses) however when it came to replacing the toner I thought I would use refills because a) they are cheaper b) they are more environmentally friendly and c) my Brother owns a refilling franchise ;-)

Although the cartridges were filled with a compatible toner after a few days the prints were all coming out with a grey background and nowhere near the original quality. I phoned OKI and told them and they suggested replacing the toner with originals which I did of course. Result? The prints were still coming out grey. I phoned OKI again and they sent out an engineer who explained that the toner had damaged the drums and they would need replacing as well. Because the toner which had damaged the drums was compatible not OKI, the replacements were not covered under warranty. I ended up buying a new printer as it was cheaper than replacing four drums.

Just beware that the least expensive isn't always the cheapest.

By the way the new printer is working fine and my Brother now has the old one as a testbed model!
My friend drowned in a bowl of muesli.
He was pulled in by a strong currant.
