Christmas Cake Recipe - Loaf Shape

Hello all,
Does anyone have a receipe for a loaf shaped cake.
I have receipes for the 8" round ones but its too big for just the two of us. OH was still ploughing through it in March last year

I'm assuming, perhaps wrongly, that I can't put the ingredients for an 8" tin in a 2lb loaf tin.
Also, I don't think a normal fruit loaf or tea loaf would make a christmas cake if I just put marzipan and icing on it either.
I did think of adapting my normal fruit loaf, by adding candid peel and soaking the fruit etc, what do you think?
I know you can buy them everywhere, but I'd like to make one.
Thanks

I make loaf cakes using my normal christmas cake recipe. You need to reduce the temp and increase the cOoking tIme but you don't need a special recipe.
The hot toddy fruitcake on the bbc good food site makes an excellent Christmas cake
