I applied for a tesco loan today, on completion it said they have to check a few things and they will be in contact in a few day, anyone have any idea what the likely outcome will be.

    The likely outcome is either a loan offer or a loan decline.

    If they have to look closer at it , you may not get the headline rate.

    Or you may not get any offer, nobody knows.

    Who knows? only Tesco I'm afraid but it's better than a straight decline.

    Thanks for the info. just checked credit expert they have done 2 searches, generic and credit search. Is this a good sign, would i get an answer if i were to phone tesco.

    Give them a call now and they will tell you yes or no.

    I would say dont call, it looks like you are desperate if you call and that could sway the decision towards a NO.

    It means they did a general search on your first application, and have done a full credit check on referral. Means nothing either way.
