Career plan??

I have been in contact with a recruitment agency regarding some opportunities they may have for me. I'm a 'Qualified by Experience' Accountant and they have asked if i have a 5 to 10 year career plan? I don't really know how to answer this. Does anyone know how i should structure this? Should I start it from when i started out, 4 yrs ago, or start from now?

Start from now. Your 5 to 10 year career plan should have a couple of promotions in it, possibly staying where you are now, or moving into a different field/specialism (e.g. industry to/from practice, accounts prep to/from payroll, etc). Any plans to get qualified or stay QBE? If you want to study, that should go into your plan too.

Your answer should help the agency understand what your interests are, how ambitious you are and how you would fit with their clients.

If someone wants to be promoted several times over, they're obviously chasing a high salary. If someone wants to work in audit, probably the wrong person for a bookkeeping job. Maybe you want to formalise your knowledge with a qualification - some clients will offer study packages, others will point blank refuse to fund it.
