I have been a lurker on this board for a while and have used lots of your suggestions to cut down my running costs etc.
I have a loan debt of £22000 that this week I swapped to a lower rate and have got my debt free date now down to just six years, it was over nine before I did this. You guys have made me so positive and today I have opened more savings accounts. My plan is to save up all my spare cash into the higher rate account so that in a few years I will have some money aside to lower this huge debt.
I just wanted to say thank you for making me positive enough to do this. My aim is to be as debt free as possible before we start a family.

Well done for finding a lower rate and bringing your Debt free date down. I hope you will find more advice here so that you can cut your expenditure even more so that you will be debt free even sooner.
I too am trying hard to become debt free before starting a family. It´s certainly a good incentive to save to pay off your debts.
Good luck to you.0 -
