Where can I find a wreath making class in Yorkshire

I'd really love to make a fab xmas wreath (well two actually) but don't know where to start!

I live in East Yorkshire and can't find anything.

I'd like to go to a one off course or event, as I'm trying to be more sociable! I'm a bit of a christmas grinch but this year I'm trying to find enjoyment in small achievements aka Kirsty and her home made home.any ideas any one?

Most of the bigger garden centres do a Christmas Floral decorations night... Not sure where you are on the East Coast. Making a wreath is really easy, but hard on the hands so you will find a tutorial online
  • Maybe try local Churches/Church/Womens Groups.

One of my local Churches always does a Christmas Craft evening and wreath making is always one of the crafts available.

Otherwise maybe the local horticultural club/allotments???

Sorry - Just random guesses but you never know!

the adult education centre holds a few crafty courses in the run upto xmas. they do a floral one (which may cover wreaths) card making and xmas crafts - well, they did last year!
they are run at various locations across the city and at different days/times.

ive not been on any but i know people who have and they have been recommended

if you go a google search it should give you a course list and all infoyou need

I've made loads of wreaths over the years and mostly make them from coat hanger wire, stretched into a circle with the top hanger piece bent round to make a hanging appeture..fresh or dried material is then tied on to this... long story..also made stacks of different ones with various adornments and seasonal fruits, fresh or dried. However you can help yourself learn from googling "How to make a Christmas wreath" where you will then have a great deal of options for viewing on line tutorials. Beats paying for classes (some free for certain individuals). There's also the library where I'm sure you could find a wide range of books that show you how it's done.
    Hope this helps.

  • Have you tried your local council website? Wakefied Council often run Christmas wreath making workshops for a fee and they are usually advertised under events.
There is one at Beningbrough Hall but it is £40 - gulp !!
