Pompom garlands.
The packets of pompoms are really cheap from Tesco etc, and then just thread together.
Or, I second paper chains. They have some really nice ones at dotcomgiftshop. I bought a pack last year and they have metres and metres in there, which can be reused again.:rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf:0 -
Thanks for the ideas everyone - wired ribbon and paper chains would work brilliantly to get the look I'm after. I can't believe I didn't think of that myself - doh!
Thanks again!0 -
B&Q sold some shiny beads on a string that go on like the popcorn garland/tinsel etc.
Can't see them overly well but we had them on our tree last year:
They weren't very expensive, got two and I think we paid about £1.50 each? They're beautiful when it's dark and just the tree lights are on and sparkling, really catch the light.Princess Sparklepants0 -

It's lametta, and sometimes you can get a finer, iridescent version called angel hair0
