Under paid tax

Have received a statement from the dear people at the tax office, from what I can decider from there pages of numbers it seems I owe them £10,000, this is something to do with my medical expenses benefit in my PAYE CODE ? , this is dating back to 2007, any ideas as to what I can do.

    first thing is to see if you think they're right: could be worth posting your tax codes for each year, and whether you were getting a P11D done by your employer each year, and whether any efforts were made earlier than this to inform HMRC of the benefit they're now taxing you on.
