    I've been Money Tipped!
Get a pack of potatoes later, no meat needed - in fact I could give plenty away..........especially pork.
Pork chops are a great deal though, but keep my pennies for the rump steak next week. Great couple of weeks to stock up if you are low on meat.

Some things not good value...e.g. Quorn (pretend meat) at meat prices. and Pilgrims cheese.
Made up for though by the pork chops, and in my local 30% off the Kievs (45% meat) , now 90p each, and 30% off the cooked chicken now £2.79.
Great shop but have to watch 'em.
  • I hope the pork chops are nice I bought a packet and they have been wrapped and frozen I don't usually go anywhere near to a l*dls as the nearest one to where I live is Maidstone about 9 miles away but I passed one in Welling this morning and thought I'll have a quick look and the pork chops looked beautifull and lean Anyone tried them at all? I like to dip in beaten egg and flour and coat in sage and onion stuffing and roast in my remoska as it always gives pork a nice flavour because it can be a bit bland sometimes.

Picked up some of the Quorn mince this morning at £1.19 (normally £1.98) - we use it for chilli

Spuds, sprouts also good along with the usual stuff.

One thing I discovered today is that their clotted cream (think it's labelled Devonshire) is actually made by Rodda's in Scorrier, Cornwall. It's identical to Rodda's own label (best clotted cream you can buy IMHO) but only £1.49 for a 227g tub. Lovely with the B1G2F Mr Kipling mince pies from Tesco!

Some areas seem to have Brains SA bitter at £1.89 for 4 x 440ml cans, according to HDUK. But not in my area :(

Do mine in a small oven Jackie, though Nigel Slater recipe the other night fried them to brown and then cooked with apples and sage.Dribble.
