Hi
Just doing today's job search and I've come across a vacancy that requests "CV/written applications via email". What does this mean? Should I write the covering letter, scan it and then email it with my CV or does it mean something else? I'm confused!

The ad says "written", not "handwritten." I think it just means a normal electronic application - typed up CV and cover letter to be e-mailed across.
Best of luck!

Thanks. I was hoping that was what it meant. I hate doing handwritten applications (makes my hand ache).0

I'd take it to mean that too, though admittedly it is an odd way of expressing it!0

I don't think handwritten applications are that common these days, apart from at quite small companies where the person in charge of recruiting is quite old fashioned. Something I'm very glad about - I hate handwritten applications too!0 -
I so rarely hand write anything now that my hand writing has become quite poor now.
