Stupidly incurred charges.
I've been a bit of a stupid boy. Moved house last year and forgot to inform my car finance company. I rang them last week to change my address and get a balance of my finance only to find out that I had missed a payment in august, therefor incurred a late payment charge and then loads more charges due to not replying to their letters. In total, I incurred £450 worth of charges, managed to get them to knock it down to £350 worth due to a sob story.
I managed to get these charges repayed (through bank of dad) but then walked into a new letter from them last night to inform me that the repayments costs have been received after the due date so I have incurred a £100 additional cost.
Is this allowed? and if it is why did'nt they tell me last week when I was on the phone to them??
