Ultrabland is good as a makeup remover. It's creamy and I thought it was a bit oily for my combination skin, but loads of people swear by it. Buche de Noel is wonderful, a bit like Angels on Bare Skin, an exfoliating cleanser. It smells amazing too. I tend to use it in the morning in the shower. Personally I would recommend going for Buche de Noel as it's a limited edition festive product, whereas Ultrabland is all year round. It depends on your skin type though.

First UU of the month! Just a deodorant, but I'm pleased to announce that my deodorant collection is beginning to resemble a normal person's! Off home to the North East for a week from tomorrow so I doubt I'll be able to use anything up - will make some sort of inroad on my collection at home instead! I'm going to see Britney at the Metro Radio Arena on Thursday which should be good fun

Thanks for starting the new thread Sarah. Knitting Nora, I like your style and you're not alone in your great love of finishing up bottles of shower gel.

Some UUs to report, really feel like I'm making progress now.

Tigi 'some like it hot' conditioner. One of the massive bottles I got from TK Maxx and which I have now stopped myself from buying (could not shut bathroom cupboard). WIBA? Maybe if it was on offer. It did the job quite well but its claim to repel moisture and humidity is spurious.

Radox shower smoothies, passion fruit flavour. WIBA? Yes. It was nice and I've decided that spending a lot on shower gel is a bit silly. It all goes down the plug hole doesn't it?

Molton Brown toko yuzu shower gel. WIBA? No, but would not sniff at it as a gift. It smells nice (actually all MB stuff smells a bit the same doesn't it?) but I don't think it justifies the cost.

Kiehl's creme de corps. Had been hanging onto this because it was a present and I knew it was expensive. Decided to just use the damn thing before it went off! WIBA? No. It was good stuff but the price is ludicrous. Think the USP is that it doesn't have mineral oil in it, but come on! £25 for a not very big bottle?

M&S Isis summer perfume. Bought this earlier in the year from the M&S outlet because I remembered wearing it in the early 1990s when I was a bit skint for posh perfume. it smells a lot like eau d'issey. WIBA? Maybe, but there are nicer day perfumes out there and I can afford to buy them now!


Ins: Vaseline oat body lotion. Saw it for £1.50 in Asda and the die was cast. Nice smell plus thanks to vigorous using up I'm down to just my posh Jo Malone body cream plus a bottle of Nivea body oil so needed something a bit more everyday.

I'm IN of course. I think I might graduate by the end of next year, but I would hate to leave, IYKWIM.
Was in Savers today, new shampoos on the market that I am forcing myself to ignore. (Elvive Triple Resist at 400ml for £1.99. Sniff.) Also 900ml Tresemme 2 in 1 for the same price. That would last me about a year...
UU'ed the 25 ml or so of shower gel I was sent to trial. I loved the foam and liked the smell, but someone else (apologies; it was on October's thread) hated it, and I can kinda see why. It lasted for 3 washes, loads of foam that moisturised and the foam lasted, too.

My Avon order has been delayed a week. I may have a small hover round the naughty step area when it arrives. There is a winter scented shower gel in it, hopefully. (Plus a footcream that is orange and cinnamon scented, sounds lovely... )

I may not have used up my 2 semi - spluttering shower gels by then and I do have an unfragranced one to use. On the other hand, that's it... the one to use is unscented and I like to boost myself with a nice smell first thing in the morning. If it doesn't clash with perfume, that is...

Big welcome to all newbies. As you can see, I was quite excited about using up my shower gel...

Hello to all the newbies, and congrats to TrudiJ's friend!

First UU for November for me: 150 ml of S&G The Righteous Butter. WNBA as it was too heavy and sticky for me. I much prefer lighter lotions like Dream Cream, even though I've got very dry skin. Next in use is 200 ml of Bliss Lemon and Sage body butter, which I love the scent of. Then only 2 body moisturisers left after that - woop!

At what point do you give up on a perfume? My DKNY one is spluttering but it's becoming really difficult to get it out of the spray pump (although that is partly due to the shape of the bottle - very pretty but also rather impractical at this point!), and whilst part of me wants to just say 'stuff it' and throw it away I feel wasteful doing that. The lid is also secured in a way that means you can't get it off, otherwise I'd take it off, dab it on with my fingers or a cotton bud and then put it back on. Grrr.
