HI
I new to this site and this is my first post wooo lol.
I have applied for a mortgage with Natwest as a FTB and today i have had a call off the advisor stating a notice of correction was on my credit report. He stated he didn't disclose what it was regarding nor a date which it was placed on the report.
This has come to a great shock to me as I was under the impression that a notice of correction was a document which the individual completed themselves regarding past credit i.e missing payments.
I have NOT placed one of these notices on my credit report and wondered how it has got on there. So if anyone can help or had similar issues let me know.
Also will it effect me for my credit score and for my first mortgage and if so i do I go about removing it. I have since purchased a credit report from Equifax who my advisor stated they use for credit score and clicked on the notice of correction tab and nothing is showing.
SO i need any help as im confused and a little worried by mortgage will be rejected due to this.
Thanks
Dan

I'd also check your other credit files experian and callcredit (just to be certain). If there is no notice of correction on any of them then go back to the advisor and inform him that you have checked are no NOCs are registered. You could offer to take your reports into the the mortgage advisor at your local branch perhaps so they can verify this.
Sounds like they've made a mistake somewhere.
Presumably you are not financiall associated with anyone (according to your files) - if so is it possible they have a NOC on their file?A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
