Bling on your dress

Is anyone adding extra Bling to their dress, shoes or veil?
I have this urge to buy crystals and sequins and sew a few extra on, but am scared of looking like I should be on Strictly Come Dancing
I have been looking at hotfix stones. Maybe stick a few up the heels of my shoes.
My dress is pleated at the front and already has some clear sequins and beads.
I just want a bit more sparkle. Any tips please?

Be careful! My dress was very simple and DH had been making comments in the run up about how he liked a bit of beading or crystal - mine had none at all. I mentioned it to Linda and she said she could do some if I wanted but when I went for the fitting we both agreed that putting any on would spoil it. My dress looked perfect without, elegant and suited me brilliantly - any bling would have been so totally wrong.
Can you add some sparkle in your accessories - even on your shoes? Or your flowers? My bouquet had little pearl pins and silver beads in it0 -
I saw an episode of 4 Weddings, where the bride had decorated a pair of high heels with diamontes all over them, looked amazing! could try that??0

maybe you could try decorating a sash to go around your waist or under your bust so then you can it with and without then you can either add the sash or get rid of it
or try some sparkly lace and gently pin it onto the bust or ends of the dress so then you can try it before you commit to anythingThe only people I have to answer to are my beautiful babies aged 8 and 50 -
Thank you!
I think I will just add to what is already on and stick to the area where the sequins are.
it's pleated and sweeps upwards from the waist. I'll sew a few extra sequins or crystals there.
I have a few stick on AB crystals for my veil, so they catch the light.
I have seen loads of sparkly shoes. I'd wear them on a night out anytime, but i will stick to plain for my wedding. no one will see them really0 -
No bling on my at all,it looks fab without.veil has a few diamantes on it,didnt want to much with me wearing necklace, earrings and tiara u can sometimes go a bit OTT on bling and reminds me of a big fat gypsy wedding lol0

I can't decide what to do with my dress either. It is completely plain but has slight gathering sweeping across the waist and a rouched detail under the bust and it looks lovely and classic without any bling. My veil has crystals on it so maybe with my jewellery that will be enough, I probably won't have any tiara or anything like that. I have bought 2 broaches to possible put where the gathering is but not sure I'll use them now.Saving my pennies for my wedding on 10th August 2013!

I am not into bling really, and my wedding will be no different. I would like a simple/vintage style wedding dress, in fabrics such as lace, silk or chiffon. No satin or taffeta! No tiara either (not my thing). No sequins and no diamante anything.
I will have jewellery, probably pearls or a simple necklace or diamond earrings (am thinking of treating myself to a pair). I may have a vintage style hair clasp. That, and my rings, will be enough!
Each to their own really.
I agree with those who suggest pinning stuff to the dress before committing, or having sparkly shoes that you could wear again. Your dress sounds lovely btw.

Here is my dress

They are showing up here, but overall, when it's on, they don't look very blingy.
Shall I just leave it alone.
I do want a crystal in each of the roses.
Any help please on how to get them in?
Thank you0 -
The DIY flower ladies should know, there is a sticky thread at the top of the Weddings board. I wouldn't have a clue! Sorry
