Looks very iffy to me, I think I'll give it a miss.

Competition being run by a data gathering company and their privacy policy is quite frankly frightening:

Entrants agree that by entering a prize draw their personal details may be stored and otherwise processed by the Promoter for the purposes of administering the prize draw and for the marketing and sending of other special offers. Entrant’s information may also be passed on to carefully selected third parties. Please read our privacy policy carefully to understand how we may use your data and what your rights are.

Ukprize.co.uk is the sole owner of the information collected from https://www.ukprize.co.uk. Ukprize.co.uk collects personally identifiable information from our users at several different points on our website.

Ukprize.co.uk collects demographic (information about you, such as name, age and address), lifestyle (information about your interests and purchasing habits) and answers to specific questions asked by ukprize.co.uk, its clients or sponsors. This data is used by ukprize.co.uk and carefully selected third parties to send you by, email, SMS, voice, post or other appropriate means, communications about their products or services.

We may use any of this information in the following ways:

to we make sure that the content that you see from our website is presented to you and your computer in an effective manner.

    To provide you with products, information, services or special offers that we feel may be of interest to you or that you have requested from our website, where you have shown consent to be contacted for such purposes;

To confirm the accuracy of the information that we hold about you via third party providers of such services, to include phone, e-mail, SMS and postal verification methods, to inform you about the changes and upcoming services through our website.

The data we collect using your browsing pattern may be sold (or otherwise passed on) to our clients and carefully selected third parties.

By entering into this prize draw you agree that Vodafone Limited may contact you via electronic means with new interesting products and services offers.

Hi,as per your earlier post .........

    & here

    Hi,Spry

Thanks for the comp but it is owned by LBM Marketing.Personally I doubt that the prize exists & the comp is just a data gathering tool.
    Domain name:
    ukprize.co.uk

    Registrant:
    LBM Direct Marketing Ltd

    http://whois.domaintools.com/ukprize.co.uk
I see it as spam .
    link changes to : http://www.ukprize.co.uk/Competitions/287/1000-Petrol-Competition.html?t=tap-Petrol_subid=AP_123-534-285213
We've done pretty well over the years & these type of comps do not appear very often.
Just curious as to why you are so motivated to post these ,with changing links, when there are so many other legit' sites to post from.

Yeah looks like it but just a different URL. I got it from an email that was sent to me today, seemed genuine and all.

No problem. On comps where the URL changes it's generally better to post both URL's for clarity & to aid dupe searching.

11 Are there any sites, from experience, which are likely to generate lots of spam?
There are a few which have come to our collective attention as sites that, when used for comps, seem to generate lots of unwanted postal, email & phone call attention. These are listed below for your information, however, please do remember that this is only the collective opinion of other MSE Compers & does not necessarily reflect upon the sites themselves.

    2minutedraw
    4FreeUK
    ABCWins
    ActiveYou
    Clash Club/Clash media
    Club La Costa
    Consumer Lifestyles
    Consumer Opinions
Craftomatic Beds (Comps appear to be just a way to get a salesman into your home, especially if vulnerable/alone)
    Emailinform
    EZ Prize Giveaway
    Fair Exchange
FindAPrize (questions raised if prizes awarded, slight spam, non existant company address, dodgy? Info here & here)
    GetMeATicket

    GreatUKsurveys
    Guide2Win
    InstantPrizeDraw
    Just-Rewards
    Lingscars

    OffersClick
    OfferX
    Opinioniser
Optimax (phone calls, letters & emails!)
    PenicuUK.com (linked to Weatherseal below)
PickMeUpMagazine (Care: the magazine comps seem to be unaffected, but any comps which direct to comps.PickMeUpMagazine.co.uk are run by the data collecting company Data Media & Research Ltd)
Premier Christian Radio (lots of postal junk mail even when you opt out of future contact)
    Prize4U
    Prizes.UK

    PrizePunch
    RewardsToday
    Simple2Win
    SupremeOGlaze (linked to Weatherseal below)

    Win 4 Now
    Win24
Zenith Windows (linked to Weatherseal above)
please be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly. k2u58ioz4c8e.png
