Help!!
We are looking for a remortgage on a property that would eventually mean 55% equity taken out, currently less than 25%. The house is in two people's names but mortgage needed to be in one person's. The person whose name the mortgage will be in has a salary of £35k but has only recently started at their current role so doesnt have months of payslips...
we are hitting brick walls and being told the house needs to either be transferred to one person or mortgage in two names, unfortunately the second person is too old to take out a mortgage... groan

in general the owners on the deeds need to match the names on the mortgage
why is it a problem getting a mortage with both names but based on only one person earnings (like millions of people do)0 -
All those named on the deeds will need to be named on any mortgage. What's the actual problem with this?
Is it just a case of one of the incomes being in a probationary period? If so, why not wait a few months. What's the rush?0 -
age, the second person is too old to get a mortgage0
