hi,
At work we all chip in to buy the milk, but at £1 per week each it soon adds up. I dont drink enough coffee/tea to make it worthwhile and if I buy my own bottle of milk it will either get nicked or spoil before I use it up. So I've thought about buying those individual servings of milk that you get in hotels. Does anyone know the best place to buy these online? I know its not the most economical way of buying milk, but it will suit my purposes.
Thanks

This is why I just love MSE! We don't have a fridge at work, so keeping milk fresh is not possible, unless we put it outside in winter! I am diabetic so can't use powdered milk because of the sugar content. I had found large boxes of this type of milk on the internet but not boxes of 50. So my craving for a nice cup of tea can now be satisfied without resorting to an expensive take away cup!Growing old disgracefully!0

lilykim: As a caveat - you will probably want to ask the seller when the Best Before Date is. From what Ive found it, all of these tend to be Best Before Feb 2012 - which is fine if youre just buying 50, but if youre thinking of buying 200 then you may have to throw a lot away.0

I think they'd be a great idea for camping as well - will have to remember that for next year.0

I only tend to drink milk at home, had to switch to more expensive Soya milk (or other milk alternative) after gasteo advice from a specialist last year, now it costs me more I look out for offers and when I get home take out what I need and put the rest in the freezer in ice cube form. That way I can take out what I need the night before and don't tend to waste as much. Does require you don't overstock your freezer though!
If you do drink enough to make the ice cube idea seem stupid, maybe decanter into larger portions, say freezable cups or something (Lakeland, Tuppaware or similar should have something). Milk tends to keep well for a good few days after its been defrosted if you keep it (already defrosted) in the fridge. Don't try to defrost the milk in your fridge because it messes with your fridges thermostat and can contribute to it dying earlier then otherwise.0
