Refund Advice Please

Hi all,
I hope ive posted this in the correct place. Basically I purchased a TV from Comet a few months ago, which at the time they had an offer on and gave a free DVD recorder. Recently I discovered the DVD recorder will not power on, and therefore ideally would like a refund. I dont know whether I can trust this model now, and it will just break down again. As the recorder was given free when you purchased the TV, am I entitled to a refund for the cost of the DVD recorder, or can I only expect a replacement?
As an example, the receipt states:
DVD Recorder £399.99
Packages -£399.99
So you can see it was part of an offer. Would be interested in peoples opinions of where i stand with this, thanks.

As you say you had it a couple of months I doubt you will be entitled to a refund, however you will be entitled for a replacement or repair.
It doesnt matter whether the dvd recorder was free it was part of a package, so whether its tv or dvd either or both will be entitled to repiar or replacement.0 -
