Recommendations for white bunk beds please

Options
I am looking to buy white bunk beds for my children. Just wondered if anyone can recommend any. Been to ikea today but they only have white metal frame ones and we would prefer wooden frame.

We have matresses so just need the frame.

Thanks for your help.

Hia, They may not be cheap but have you looked at the Warren Evans website. All their beds are made of really thick solid wood and they do a white finish. The beds will last years and the bunk beds can be split to make two full size single beds as the children get older. They will last a lifetime, so although they be expensive now they will definately work out cheaper in the long run. hope this helps.
  • Thank you, we got our bed from there, I agree a great company but I didn't really like the look of their bunk bed :(

Hi ya savingmonkey i'm getting bunk beds for my kids but in pine from a local shop near us - depending if you live near me or reasonable travelling distance to rochdale u could get the bunkdeds from the place i'm getting them. They're excellent quality reasonable price - 2 very good matresses, beds, and a tryndle draw for storage. for under £350ish. I'm not too sure if they do white though - will get back to u

  • We bought these in the summer and can't recommend them highly enough. They are absolutely solid and the service from M& S great.

When my kids were younger, we bought pine bunks but found they became creaky and seemed unstable. We replaced them with the metal Ikea Tromso bunks and they were fantastic. Robust and with much more headroom in the lower bunk, they used them until late their teens. We passed them on to another family and they are still in use 12 years later.

We replaced the bunks with the loft beds from the same range and they have proved just as durable!
"Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.

Like the look of this and the fact M&S put it together for you! Thanks
  • Before looking at Aspace, you may want to read my experiences in trying to buy wardrobes and beds from them. They sound like a business in total chaos.

Here is a direct quote from their Head of Customer Experience to me on Friday 11/11/11 :

"...the biggest problem at Aspace at the moment is supply. We are not managing our growth the way we would want it and to some levels have been victims of our own successes (even though clearly this is harming the customers). We are very aware of this situation and are even considering taking some of our best ranges off sales until we manage to secure more reliable supplies. We also understand that we cannot sustain these issues for much longer… After all, as a mail order company, Word of Mouth is of prime importance."

As previous mailer says nice website, it's a shame the customer experience is so different.
