Embb welcome back and great news on your move date. You are so organised I know you'll be fine

    Welcome wouldbe

Taking the windows out is making more mess than I'd imagined so as the kitchen is to be done tomorrow I'm not doing the list! I'm do the declutter and the oven but the rest I'll do when it's finished. As I know what is ahead for the week though I can swap about.

Oh well - new week - another trial. There is no point ringing A&E yet so I will wend my way to other house in an hour and make a start there - Will call hospital at 12 as Mum may have been assessed by then.

Does anyone here use a steam mop? - the bungalow I have just moved to has hard floors everywhere and I was thinking this may be easier.

  • Morning all!

Huge thanks to the new bosses and many thanks again to the previous inhabitants of FCC!

This place is wonderful - it saw me through some dark times when DD1 had relapsed and was bedbound for 18 months.

My waistline will take some recovering after the week long celebrations for DD1's 21st birthday and my slimming world weigh in tomorrow will be disastrous! but I have enjoyed all of it so much!

All visitors now dispatched home we can return to normal ( whatever that is?) - DD2 back at school - and working every evening after school this week - so it's going to be peaceful, esp as she's heading straight to the cinema to see Paranormal Activity 3 tonight ( she's braver than i am!)

Sadly I have to go back to work today too - and the C word is now on the horizon and I haven't done enough shopping yet...

    Morning all

I've done the kitchen/diner. As it was only refitted a few months ago I went through everything then so there's nothing to throw away. I've got a new tablecloth for Christmas (different shape table this year) and I know where that is and I got some new cutlery last week because I only had 2 or 3 of any one design! I'm going to keep that for Christmas and then take it on for everyday. It's guaranteed for 25 years and as we don't have dinner parties or anything it seems a pity to let it sit in a drawer.

I also dusted and polished in the living room and hallway and vacuumed through those and up the stairs.

Washing on the line, alternately being drizzled on and sunshined on, so I'm leaving it there out of the way.

No chance of getting anyone to help me whether by trick or treat. I know where the hats, gloves and scarves are and I've only got two coats (a showerproof one when it's wet and a fleece when it's cold and dry) so that doesn't take much sorting out.

Not finished catching up yet, hope everyone's OK. Thanks to Dusty for starting off the new regime.
