We have booked blackjack & get 2 tables this will be going on in the evening & we also have a chocolate fountain as well (i no not entertainment) LOL
Today i went to a wedding fayre & there was a magician he was awesome what he was going & charges £350 for 2 hours....
I was thinking that it would be good to have something happening after the ceromony whilst photos are being taken & he could walk around, we do have someone coming into the gardens to sing with there guitar
Just wondered what entertainement other are having. I have been to a few weddings where your kind of stuff in limbo after the ceromny until the wedding breakfast & it can get boring

We're just having champagne and canapes - for an hour and a half.
My previous experience of weddings has been that you need that much time to let everyone go to the loo, touch up makeup, chat, get a glass of something, take pics, deliver cards to the B&G and say congrats, and generally relax; any less time and you feel a bit cheated/rushed!
We'll have music on during this time, but at one lovely wedding we went to, they had a live band during this bit, and they were totally ignored. Utterly - and it was a shame, as they were good!
It's not a day out at the funfair - I think you have plenty to keep your guests happy.
HTH.
If at first you don't succeed, then sky-diving isn't for you0 -
How much time have you got to fill? You'll use up a reasonable bit of time having the photos done but I know what you mean about that gap. We had a long gap but that was intentional as we wanted to allow guests to wander round the zoo if they wished. Some did but many just stayed and sat in the venue room having a drink and a natter. We didn't actually get to join them for hardly any time as we spent about 2 hours with our photographer! But I agree with jojo, people will usually be catching up with friends or relatives they might not have seen for a while, they'll enjoy the chance to just relax before sitting down for a formal meal0

Dj thats it,i see it as a wedding, guests shouldnt need entertaining, there is a bar, candy buffet and other guests to mingle with plus a dance floor.i ca honestly say ive never been to a wedding with anything other than a dj and can honestly say ive never been bored.dancing and chatting has always been enough.my guests will have 1-2 hrs after the wedding breakfast before the evening, but all but about 6 of them arnt staying over so those that are can change, freshen up,chill out by the bar in the huge lobby.also my FIL is a photographer so we plan to use this time to mingle more with guests and have more pics done, with him doing pics we can kind of say when to stop and start.also give us all time to allow our meals to go down0

We're just having a d.j provided by our venue, although I went to a wedding fair today and they had an f1 simulator which was basically an f1 racing game where you actually sat in a mock of an f1 car (life size) and did laps of a circuit that were timed (a real circuit)
there would be me, one of the ushers, my dad and a few of the others that would just disappear for the night lolWho remembers when X Factor was just Roman suncream?0 -

We're having a fire juggler at our reception, from the time the meal finishes to the time the evening reception starts as there'll be lots of clearing up nad moving tables to do, so dont want everyone bored or in the way helping! and the dj will need to set up too!Married in 2011. We are having a band in the evening and I think I will get a comedy juggler for the kids. We are having a smallish wedding and 16 of them are kids so I think once they have finished eating they can go into an adjoining room to watch him. We will also have a 'play' table set up (There is enough space) with a few bits and pieces for the very little ones. I am also considering a rather cool 3 piece band for after the ceremony whilst people have fizz and nibbles. We do know or know people who know all those involved though so we can get a good deal. Plus we are huge music fans, so I think it would reflect our personalities well.
Everyones plans are so exciting - fire jugglers and F1 simulators? Amazing!

Hi all
We are having:
Magician while the photos are being done between the ceremony and the reception
Then during the reception meal we have a pianist playing: on each table we have written a personalised quiz for all the guests (we will be reading out the answers befroe speaches and giving out a small gift to the winners). In the evening we have a candy buffet, and then a Disco.
We have been so lucky though the magician, painist were both free as we know the people and they are doing it as a gift.
Thanks0 -
We had canapes and champagne/beer flowing while the photos were being done along with a harpist for background music.
During the meal we had a magician which was brilliant at keeping waiting tables entertained.
At the night do we had a 5 piece band.:jProud mummy to a beautiful baby girl born 22/12/11 :j0
