Haircut at Toni and Guy - worth the cost?

I knwo Toni and Guy is a very nice place to have you're hair done and I'm considering splashing out this time. Its quite pricey - is it worth the money?

Also I want pink underlayers.... anyone know if they do this/and how/and how much does it cost??

A great haircut is worth every penny in my opinion but Toni and Guy are just a brand - one hairdresser might be wonderful and one not as good. Ask around all your friends and colleagues and find out who they visit.

Dunno anything about the pink layers but it sounds nice.

I used to go to Toni & Guy a lot as I used to be a 'brand' girl...before I found this site. I now go to another hairdressers, a lot cheaper, and there was no difference at all in the outcome - it was just as good. But if you have the extra money to spend, then its up to you. :o

    I've been Money Tipped!
    In a word, NO!
I had my hair done in one of their salons last year. Cut and Colour. I had to go back the next day as the cut was so bad.

I will stick to my lady that comes to my house for £40 cut and colour,
  • I used to get my hair cut & coloured at the cheapest place near me, but my BF dragged me into Toni & Guy once (he was a bit of a (brand) freak.) Although I didn't notice much of a difference, enough people who didn't know I'd gone somewhere different complimented it (especially the colour) I came to the conclusion that people with a better eye than I have can see the difference ;)

Since then I've moved and the new Toni & Guy I go to isn't nearly as good - to the extent that I'm think of going back to the cheapest. I miss my old T&G hairdresser

I would try them as you are trying a style that needs some skill. Get an appointment with the person with the longest waiting time - they'll probably be the best.

Cost will probably be approaching £100 for colour & cut. Thier prices do vary a lot depending on whether you get a "technician" or "style director" etc  It'll be someone completely different who'll do your colour to who does your cut.

    Good Luck :)
  • If I need a re-style I usually go to an expensive hairdressers becaue I can really tell the difference. My haircut now costs in the region of £22 - £27, and I think it's worth it. I only go once every 2 - 3 months.
  • i used to go to toni and guy and found that most of the time i came out with the same style as before and the last time i came outta there i cried coz they cut it too short!!

    Cheaper in the suburbs!
  • I went to Tony and Guy in the end and I'm very, very happy with the results. The guy who cut my hair was speech impaired .... he used quite a lot of sign language. So it was only £30!!! Love it!!
