Evening/Weekend work???

Hello to all,
I've just joined MSE so please be gentle! I'm 20 years old and currently work in the city and like most of us, I am underpaid and overworked.
Is there anyone who currently has a FT job and on top is working evenings and/or weekends to supplement income. A minimum of £50/month would be a great start but something that would allow me the flexibility to work when I wanted to (if that's possible).
Looking for something in the London/ SE Greater London area, all recommendations are welcome and I would like to hear people views who are currently doing the above. I'm up for anything as long as it's legal.

Similar situation. I also work full time in London and have had weekend jobs. I've not done evening work as I have quite a long commute each day so prefer working weekends. I've done cleaning (office), bar work, waitressing. I've also helped out at events at weekends (bar work, car park attendant, litter collector etc) which has been ad hoc as you are only needed when events are on. I'm also a fully qualified holistic therapist so do that at weekends as and when I feel like it!
Not sure on jobs that will give you the flexibility to work when you want to unless, like me, you work for yourself at weekends and then work when you want.
Again, I'm unsure if this would appeal or if you have transport but I've seen adverts in my local paper for part-time companion workers visiting people in their own homes and doing shopping, walking their dogs etc which I guess could be fairly flexible. I'm thinking about it as the opportunities are fairly close to me. I expect you would need to get CRB checked but that shouldn't be a problem.
What about leaflet/catalogue deliveries? You could probably do that at weekends. Probably not much fun in the winter - maybe more for the spring/summer. Ask in your local estate agents/restaurants/take away places if they need leaflet distributors.
A colleague of mine works as a receptionist for 4 hours on either a Saturday or Sunday or both if required, in a leisure centre; she really enjoys it and gets to use the swimming pool for free when she's finished her shift.Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free

I work an extra job evenings & weekends; if you have the energy then go for it.
There was a similar topic a while ago, I tried to get you a link but since the site still thinks I'm a new user, I can't.
My reply at the time was as follows:Go for it.
I've been working 2 jobs for just over 6 months now.
Mon-Fri 9-5 in the office, then 6:30-10:30 four nights a week delivering pizza for a lil' extra cash.
Just make sure it's something a little different from your day job and that doesn't stress you out.
I'm in pretty much the same situation as you, 22 years old, no kids, but living with parents. It can be a little tiring at times but its easily manageable. I get to be out and about & see new things/people, the total opposite of my day job. Plus the tips (especially in this weather) are nice. I'm also really lucky in that the other staff are great and we all have a few good laughs every night.
But try to make sure you get one day a week that's all yours and you don't have to work either job, mine's a Sunday. The other half will definitely appreciate it.
Make sure you write down the things you need to do/remember, it relieves your mind and you can stop worrying about this/that and not having much free time to do it in.
I know you mentioned bar work, but if you have a car and don't mind driving around, I'd recommend a delivery job in the evenings. But better take a bar job if it's a newer car since the job can take its toll on the vehicle, but even that is easily overcome if you look after it ;-)
Good luck & hope it works out the way you want it.0
