Should I wait for my creditors to contact me?

Just keep sending the payments, you've done everything by the book
Hope the other things resolve themselves soon :grouphug:No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
No sign of either of them yet. My estimate is that they should have phoned by today (I know - there's still some of today left!). The payments went out on Thursday, so this should have reached their accounts yesterday.
I bet they'll wait until Thursday - it's my birthday and they'll know that!DMP mutual support number 174Total debt now (April 10) £0! - total paid off £30,221 or 100%I'm now debt free after 6 years!!:jNon smoker since June 2006 :j0 -
They loooooooove to make us wait
Happy Birthday for Thursday :bdaycake:No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
Thank you for the virtual cake Gem. I hope things are going well for you.
Well - I've got to the end of today without the phone call. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they're just accepting the reductions without a problem. Like Gem said a couple of days ago, I doubt they'd reject it if I'd increased the payment.DMP mutual support number 174Total debt now (April 10) £0! - total paid off £30,221 or 100%I'm now debt free after 6 years!!:jNon smoker since June 2006 :j0 -
I had some lovely news today which means I should be able to increase my payments in April. Yippee.
Still no letters or phone calls though.DMP mutual support number 174Total debt now (April 10) £0! - total paid off £30,221 or 100%I'm now debt free after 6 years!!:jNon smoker since June 2006 :j0 -
Great about the good news, at least if they do ring, then you will be able to advise of a possible increase maybe even back to what you were paying in the pipeline. :TOfficial DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0

If my figures are right I might even be able to pay them more. When I was on maternity leave, I should have had a pay increase. For some reason I checked with Pay Section yesterday, and they agreed that it should have been applied in August last year!
So back pay for 5 months, and an increase. I'm also getting an allowance which is a percentage of my wage, so I guess I should get back pay for that too.
I had to reduce the payments because my child tax credit was reduced (my baby is 1 already!), but I think the pay increase should at least make the difference up.
I get paid on the last day of the month, so I'll have to wait until I get paid at the end of March before I know what my real take home pay is.
The lump sum (back pay) at the end of Feb will go towards paying off my overdraft.

Before you increase original payments, check that your pay rise does not affect your tax credits.
Maybe just restore payments to what they were when you can and slowly iincrease them when you know everything is correct.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -
According to the paperwork from tax credit people I have a huge jump before it starts affecting the amount I get (I think). I will check with them though - thank you.
I'm so excited! I suspect something will happen soon to bring me down to earth with a bump! I'm going to enjoy this while I can.DMP mutual support number 174Total debt now (April 10) £0! - total paid off £30,221 or 100%I'm now debt free after 6 years!!:jNon smoker since June 2006 :j0 -
