I'll PM you the letter I used.
Thanks very much
I emailed the CEO address on sunday and have had no aknowledgment so am going to email aghain now with a more detailed complaint using your template.
It was only of months ago that the FOS ruled in their favour so I dont have much hope however if they do decline me again, where would you think I stand referring this link to the FOS and saying they have now set a precedent for refunds?0 -
WOW!! so glad i found this threat by accident, i had a cahoot flexible loan from about 2001 and had to replace it with a fixed rate HSBC loan in about 2007 as i didnt seem to be paying anything off.
Problem is i have no paperwork left with account details, apr's etc..
Would it be worth sending an email anyway?? If not is there anyway to get that account information if cahoot is no longer active?
Anyone else had similar issues??
Regards

Think it only applies to loans that were taken over by santander 2009/2010 and had rate increased from approx 10% to approx 20% someone on thread previously had declined as was paid off in 2006, prior to santander taking over, any rate increases were covered by original t&c's.On the road to financial freedom.... one MSE penny at a time....:T0 -
Still awaiting the copy of credit agreement they say they have now found lol however did receive in post this morning a copy of T&C's for Cahoot FIXED loan which were apparently issued when the switch to santander took place dated Feb 2010 (iv never had a fixed loan) ... along with a note and letter saying as per our call here is the info requested ermmm nope. Letter does also state the original letter I received is full of errors so at least that was correct.... gonna give up now was never about receiving any more money, loans paid off so Im more than happy, just nothing they stated in the refund letter made any sense, figures dates etc were all wrong... judging by the response to my letter and the copy of fixed rate loan t&c's dont think it gonna get any clearer lol.
Good luck to all still waiting to hear back re refundand tytyty to happy_bunny, whose original post re this led me to complain
xx

Whats the balance of the loan? Interested to see if the calculations match, although they do not provide them.
The initial loan was for £6500,it sitting around 6k just now, despite paying daft money each month! Hopefully i'll hear soon regarding the outcome of the 're-work', i'll be sure to post what the result is!0 -
Just sent my email off, finger crossed. The figures are staggering when you break them down. Will update if i get anywhere0

I sent an email on 22nd November received a instant read receipt. The following day received an email from CEO stating they was looking into the case.
On Tuesday 6th December received a letter stating I was receiving a credit to my account for just under 3k. It could not have been any easier. Now only have a balance of £600 after over 10 years of repayments. Going to attempt to pay off the balance by Christmas.
Many thanks to the initial poster. Without his post I would never even known or thought about sending the email.Total debt December 2010 = [STRIKE]£47,365.08[/STRIKE] Total debt January 5th 2011 = [STRIKE]£47,080.89[/STRIKE]
Total debt February 5th [STRIKE]£46,431.12 [/STRIKE] Total debt 5th March 2011 = [STRIKE]£45,865.41 [/STRIKE] Total debt 5th April 2011 = [STRIKE]£45526.29 [/STRIKE]Total debt 5th May 2011 = £44764.56[/STRIKE]Target debt for Dec 2011 = £40,000.000
