puzzler.com competitions - regularly updated (Part 4)

Does someone mind telling me how the puzzler competitions work? Do I have to subscribe to the magazine etc? I find the site really confusin, sorry if this is the wrong place to post x

Welcome to the thread, lindsey3uk.

No, you don't have to subscribe to the magazine as the lovely forumites here buy the magazines and provide the answers for the compers here.

You will, however, need to set up an account with the site. This is easy to do and doesn't cost you anything.

Go to www.puzzer.com and lick on Login. There, select New User and it'll ask for some details. The next time you are on the site, use your login name and password, and you're in.

Finding the competitions that have answers here is fairly straightforward. Just click on Magazines then look for the periodical you need. Always check it's the correct issue that you're entering the answer for.

site first, register..

Registration

All areas of Puzzler are free to access, but you – and only you – will benefit from becoming a registered user. We need to know who you are in order to provide you with the best service. For example, if you wish to enter online competitions, or enter magazine competitions online, you must register so that if you win, we can contact you. If you wish to save incomplete puzzles, we need to know who you are so we can identify your puzzle when you return to the site. If you wish to participate in any of our puzzle leagues, we need to be able to identify you. Please be assured that we will never pass your information to anyone else.

go to new user, add your username you choose to use
then a box will come up for you to add your password/details etc,
submit it,

you'll recieve an email confirmation from puzzler

then you can start entering the puzzles/comps

hiya, yes, i've won from them a few times :j
you can also search the IWIW thread & there's been winners on there, when i used to post the puzzles i had lots of pm's from peeps who'd won as some don't like to post thier wins for personel reasons,
there's a great compers chat thread here where lots ask questions etc to save bumping threads where we're subscribed to so's we only get the comp/puzzles answers in email & it saves the thread comp answers getting lost in any chat
