    (As detailed by fire**fly in post #275) Comp 10549 - 5 x Break Away competition - HOTEL

Comp 10139 - Front Cover Competition, 1 x £25 - This months picture, I am fairly sure, is the Royal Albert Bridge over the River Tamar. However the question asks which county the structure is in and as it goes from Devon to Cornwall - I am not certain. I have actually entered with Cornwall but is there anyone local who would dispute this? Many thanks:o

    Comp 10140 - £2000 Cash Competition,1 x £1,000,1 x £500,5 x £100 -A MISS IS AS GOOD AS A MILE

I live near to the Royal Albert Bridge, it really is a 50/50 (sign halfway across the Tamar Bridge saying welcome to Cornwall, or Devon if going that way). We have a statue of Brunel at the bottom of the high street, but Plymouth also has a statue close to their town centre so i think we both claim it as ours!
We did have a celebration when it was 150, and i dont think Plymouth did, so i guess Cornwall has the edge there :)

Thanks compingcat & fire**fly - when you google, it seemed to concentrate more on the Cornish end and I gather it was built to connect Cornwall to the rail network. Also the picture looks more like Cornwall if that makes sense?

"The east bank of the Tamar was fixed as the border of Cornwall by King Athelstan in the year 936."

that picture is taken from the west bank so you would still be in cornwall standing there!! reckon they put the blue sky in though, it's not usually like that ;)
    Thanks to all competition posters!

This competition is being run in conjunction with other participating Puzzler Media titles so you will probably find it is ticked as already entered. Posting anyway to keep the issue numbers correct.

    Good luck all
