Morning all
finally got around to adding up ebay earnings (£6.22 from weekend - 5 cheap items)
and also got a £5 voucher on it's way to me for complaining about shop service...
they were just gonna palm me off with an apology - can't get over the cheek sometimes...i wont name names...but you go out of your way to collect an item you've already arranged to pick up, you get there and they say it's not in...after telling you it was!...then just fob you off with "well it'll be available on xx date"...that's no bloomin' good - time is after all money...
anyways enough about that...
anyone tell me more about adpo!nts?...haven't received an email from nectar about it....is it invite only?
have a great day everyone xx0 -
yes think it is currently invite only, and seeing as website has crashed, think there are problems with it already!
it says Beta on it, so must be in early testing mode.0 -
Despite the fact that I've messed up my spreadsheet, I am definitely over my £600 target!!! I've just received my first rent payment for a house we've renovated and rented out. It has taken a ton of money to do up, I've been paying the mortgage and council tax on an empty property for 3 years, and now it feels like things are coming together!
Now with free eBay listing this weekend I'm going to work hard to make a good start for December.I like to make money

Firstly, I've rented direct to a neighbour's daughter so I'm getting an extra £95 per month than I was expecting with fees, etc. I'm going to take a little "income" from it per month, but it'll save me LOADS in the mortgage and council tax payments so I'm thrilled. No idea when I'll be seeing a "profit" but it has been let for a year so I'm chuffed
I've just written a Sw*g Bucks guide for my blog - can't post the link directly in this thread but it isn't hard to find. Took me a little while to do lots of screen shots whilst at work and using paint (and you know...actually doing some real work since I'm at work) but I'm quite proud of it.I like to make money

Hey Everyone,
Not been on for a while so there's been a lot to catch up on!
I'd been searching high and low for December's Cosmopolitan mag with all of the extras, but gave up ages ago thinking it must be a regional thing after 3 supermarkets and my local newsagents all had unwrapped copies... I found a wrapped one yesterday!!! :T Went in to Lidl for something and there it was, the only one left by the counter. My giftcard starts with 389 so I think it will be a £3 one, but I'm still very happy that I've found one
(p.s thanks for the tip off Aesop!
).
Someone asked about energy monitors (Lemmings? Sorry, brain isn't functioning well atm, lol!) - http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/deals/free-cheap-energy-monitors You might be able to get one free, a company have some to give away, not sure if they're still available. I've got one, haven't got around to using it yet as my meter is under the stairs and I've got that much junk there that it's difficult to get to, lol.
Monkeynut - Yes, putting cash on the CC rather than keeping it on you is a great way to save a bit of money on interest. When I got paid I used to keep whatever I needed for the next couple of days and transfer the rest to the CC, then just use the CC for everyday spending. It saved a lot over the years
Someone mentioned being offered healthy start vouchers when they don't need them - It really is a silly system, they kept sending me letters about it (4 so far!). I've had financial support from SS ever since DS2 moved in, he also gets his milk free on prescription (he's lactose intolerant), so it's really daft that they keep offering me vouchers to buy milk with!!!
There are so many people that are entitled to benefits but struggle without them as they don't realise that they qualify, so it's ridiculous that they waste so much time chasing people about benefits that they don't want/need. ... Rant over, lol
Right then, down to business... I've made a few savings over the last few days, and have loads of stuff out ready for ebay, done about half of the photos... but have nothing to add to the challenge.
I've had a bit of a revalation over the last couple of days. Firstly, I got the results of an essay back (my first one for my 2nd year of study) - OMG it was awful, lol!!! I didn't spend as much time as I should have done on it, and although it was an ok mark, it was terrible compared to my usual grades. I've been getting away with great marks for not much work up to now, but that's not really cutting it anymore so I've really got to get my head down. I barely have any spare time as it is, so something's got to give!
Unfortuntely it's this challenge. I've already cut back to only keeping up with two threads, this one and Lose Weight 34 (and I'm not giving either up!!!!
), but I realised this morning that the surveys, deals, 'Bloomin' Woohoo', etc, are taking up more time than I've got atm, so after this month it's down to £5 a day for me - which should be easily achievable, and will take the pressure off a bit.

BlueCow1975 wrote: »Hi Gailey - time from tracking to actual payment can vary considerably depending on the company. When an items tracks, that means that the transaction registers to your account. Quidco then has to wait to get the actual cash off the company - when that comes through your account goes to confirmed. Confirmed amounts then get paid out at the end of the month or middle of the month depending on which is nearer. On my account time from tracking to payment has varied from around 6 weeks right up to 6 months in some cases. I would say 2 - 3 months has been the norm for me.
Just to let you know Gailey i had this as well - waited for months with nothing then i realised i hadn't added payment detailsjust make sure yours are added or you may wait longer than necessary
