Booked our entertainment....

We have finally decided to have some wedding entertainment, now I have actually paid the deposit I'm am wondering whether I should have :S I have to think things through for ages before making a choice, especially when money is involved. I have ran it past family and 1 close friend who like the idea but I think I need some outside opinions too!
Here's how the story goes....
We booked a very well recommened photographer when we first got engaged, he mentioned about entertaintment and said he had worked with these people 'the singing waiters' and are fantastic. I decided to look them up on the net and you tube and loved it. Got a quote and was a lot of money so put the idea away as I couldn't justify spending that amount on a couple of people singing. Since then I have thought of other ideas for unique entertainment eg, bands, student singers, magicians and not liked any (all very pricey). I got an email the other day from the singing waiter company saying the have a new deal on where if you only have one of the waiters they do a tribute act in the evening free and is almost half the price. Again, ran it past family and they basically said 'it's your wedding but the idea is different and he has a good reputation and can sing'
Have any of you has experience of anything like this and what do you think? We are also having a disco in the evening so the singing won't be on all night.
Thanks for reading!

I am having someone come & sing with his guitar in the venue gardens whilst we are having our photos done & in the evening we have 2 tables of blackjack being set upGetting married Sat 1st September.Saving like mad for the next 40 weeks0 -
Thanks! I agree, I have been to many lovey wedding but have been bored after the meal waiting for the evening to start that's one of the reasons for having something.
Gemma, your idea sounds lovely, I love singers and especially solo's with guitars

Not to put any sort of dampner on the idea, because I quite like it too, but it's nothing to do with these guys is it?!

Hi John,
No it's no opera singers (I hate opera) it's just one person originally two but got it half price for one becuase I'm tight or MSE however you want to look at it.
He does any music from rat pack, beatles, take that, queen, motown etc.
I've watched numerous videos of them and the ones you mentioned (eeek) Why do you have experience of the others?
Thanks for the reply!0
