                    Hi guys,
I started a DMP at the end of May this year and it's been ticking along nicely. All of my creditors have accepted the offer of payment (according to Payplan's online account manager)
Today I got a letter from Fairfax Solicitors asking for full payment or they will commence legal proceedings.
Its also says to call them to 'agree a satisfactory solution to the matter'
Is this normal? Are they going to take me to court and get a CCJ against me?
Should I calll them? I've emailed my Payplan case officer so hopefully they'll reply in the morning
Bit scared that it's all going to fall to pieces...
Thanks
Vicky

It would be wise for someone to reply; either you or PayPlan on your behalf.
That allows the court to see you have acted reasonably rather than just ignoring things.
That doesn't mean it WILL go to court. Gotta say that even at this stage, only a smallish % do.
The response would usually be something along the lines of:
I cannot afford to pay you more. You are getting a fair share of what I can pay along with my other creditors. Paying you more would be unfair on them, and that point would be made to the court. If you take court action then I/we will ask the court to set monthly payments at the same level as the DMP, so you will most likely be wasting time, money and effort by going to court.
PayPlan should be able to help you with that, or as said write it themselves.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

with Payplan they pay creditors pr rata, if you pay more to one creditor then the other creditors can be miffed.. Pay plan have a documents may cover this and they are the best one to advice0
