Hi
Does anyone know if you have to convert your mortgage to a buy to let if you rent out your home? I am applying for a new job which comes with a house.
I have a 2 year tied in tracker mortgage with Abbey and it would cost me several thousand in redemption fees if i remortgage?
What happens if I just don't tell the mortgage company? Does anyone know anyone who has done this?
Thanks

You can just request consent to let from Abbey on your current deal which they should do for you - there will be a charge invloved.
