need help trying to remove an unfair ccj

Hi, I was divorced in 2007 and my then solicitor billed me £13.5k final costs. I disputed the final costs as my former husband cut off maintenance payments during some of the proceedings and I went without these payments for several months. I asked the solicitor to take this amount off the final bill and offered him £6k in final payment. He said no and we were emailing trying to come to an agreement. However in January 2008 I received a judgment from the court for £13.5k. I did not know there was even a hearing, I had not received any paperwork for it. I was under the impression the solicitor and I were still negotiating. I had even sent him a cheque for £50 and offered him £50 a week until we agreed the figure. I wrote to the court and told them all of this and they gave me a hearing and allowed me to file a counterclaim. the judge agreed that I was right to dispute the final costs as I had gone without approximately £7k in maintenance payments and the solicitor had failed to apply for interim maintenance. He told us to go away and negotiate and we agreed on a final payment of £7,610 which is much closer to my original offer than the solicitors. To cut a long story short, I am now applying for a remortgage but my broker says there is a judgment against me for £13.5k from January 2008. Surely I have the right to have this set aside under the circumstances. I have written to the court sending an N244 and the fee asking to have the judgment set aside with the case number and information but they have returned the form saying it can't be set aside because I paid it! Can anyone advise me please? thank you
