BBC magazines - Gardeners world subscription offer

(In fact the book is selling on Amazon for £13 incl postage at the moment).
I haven’t been able to find a better deal for this mag nor any promo codes ...yet! It still means that if you sign up and cancel within 6 months you have 6 copies of the mag and a cookery book which has receive plenty of favourable reviews, all for £15.50

Seems like a good deal, but remember to cancel during the six months if you are primarily doing this for the book. They will not send you a reminder and ask if you want another six months worth, just automatically charge your card. (As you can probably tell, I am speaking from experience. I bought a 'gift subscription' for someone, thought nothing more about it and have just seen the transactions on my statement.)

Good point! ... which reminded me that I did a subscription offer as a gift last Xmas. I will double check it wont be automatcally be renewed!

Nice find but not close enough to a quid a copy for me to fire up my subscription again.

Could I sell the book on Ebay for £9 incl postage? Hmm, probably arrive mangled by Royal Mail and be unsellable

Can I ask, if you buy a gift subscription, do you get anything with it to wrap up? A little box or gift card or anything?

For gift subs, the magazine just gets posted directly to the recipient. I can't remember if a card was sent to me to send on - there should be details on the BBC magazines website though.

Finetune: for 12 month subs, you can do a 'one off' payment or a DD, so you are probably OK. For six month subs, the DD is the only option.
